Gary Byers has been making rapid progress since the initial Cocoa experiments in OpenMCL:

Nice looking, and because it's a Cocoa app, it gets emacs-style keybindings for free. Cool.

(And given OpenMCL's roots, I doubt it will be _required_, which means you can still SSH in and talk to the running lisp instance. The best of both worlds.)
