Police Presence

topanga canyon boulder

mudslide

The other night, at around 3:45 A.M., I found myself standing in my boxer shorts in the middle of my darkened living room as four LAPD officers, probably the entire police presence between Silver Lake and South Pasadena, stomped around in my apartment, shined their flashlights at my cats and said things like “We just wanted to make sure you weren't being held hostage.”

That's the only effect the rain has had on me, luckily.

Were the LAPD asking the cats or you about being held hostage??? And what event triggered LAPD to come knocking at your door? Is this a ref to the rain keeping people indoors without access to supplies? Hope all is well.

Police also report that shortly before the huge boulder came crashing down, a coyote was seen plummeting through the air.

ACME Corporation had no comment.

I drive by this spot every day on the commute to Santa Barbara. It has had the 101 closed down for the entire week. Luckily, I can telecommute....
