The most exciting news is that "A new vendor-neutral (i.e. not Debian-dependent) package format was proposed for cCLan..."

Creating a vendor neutral cclan (vn-cclan) package is approximately as simple as making your lisp build using asdf then running (cclan:make-tar-file 'system-name). Eventually we'll have functions to convert into rpms, debian packages and so on as well; as a package maintainer you won't actually need to maintain the different formats by hand. People should try it...
asdf is at http://ww.telent.net/cliki/asdf

Actually, that's a lie. crawl8.googlebot.com has been spotted looking at one or two cclan things. But currently no humans at all.
