Screen Scraping

Andreas Fuchs has released screen-scraper, “an extensible telnet/vt100 screen-scraper for lisp. By rendering unreadable vt100 control sequences into an array of strings (lines), It allows you to interact with a character-based menu interface and keep your sanity.”

Perhaps from this it can be built a terminal-like remote-lisp-shell interface to a lisp server. By the way, has anyone used Emacs as a server and connected to it thru the net to run a remote-eshell (without resorting to rsh/ssh/...)? Any links? (already checked EmacsWiki.org) Thank you.
