Years ago I took a vacation in the Cayman islands. One of my favorite parts of the trip was a day spent on Little Cayman, which is a small, practically uninhabited island about 30 miles from the big island of Grand Cayman. After exploring Little Cayman for a while and having a primitive but tasty lunch on the beach, I and a four other people took a short boat ride a few miles from shore so we could snorkel over the Cayman Trench, which is a 5 mile deep crevice in the sea floor.
