I've known John for 20 years. Carl's a relative newcomer, being only at the 15 year mark, but we still try to make him feel like he's part of the group. We grew up together in a small semi-rural college town, DeKalb, Illinois, with not very much to do. When we get together it's sometimes hard not to spend all our time talking over the various crazy and stupid adventures that we had in an attempt to keep ourselves amused.
